Most people have heard of the Law of Attraction. Its a theory that like attracts like, that what you focus on is what you get, be this a positive or negative experience. It sounds very simple but for 99% of people, the Law of Attraction doesn’t work. This is very simply because their conscious mind and unconscious mind are not in harmony with each other.  The true desire for what you want might not truly be there.  The way you look at what is presented to you depicts as a reality for the subconscious mind.

We all have beliefs, habits and values stored in our subconscious. Some we are aware of and some we aren’t. When it comes to birthing, unfortunately from a very young age, our subconscious has been bombarded with images and ideas about birth that display a meaning of pain, anxiety and stress. We are taught to believe birth is a painful, medical emergency, full of drama, screaming and waters breaking at the most inopportune time.  Yes there are women that experience this in labour we know it exists, hypnobirthing is about supporting women to let go of this display of stress and reinforce to their subconscious mind that birth can look somewhat different.

During our HypnoBirthing course, we examine why this is and parents experience a very powerful exercise to clear these unconscious beliefs, leaving your mind open to the possibility of a positive, gentle birth.

Affirmations play a very important part in this process as the continued exposure to the affirmations result in changes in behaviour, habits, actions and reactions, basically you begin to truly believe and accept what the affirmations say and your subconscious mind accepts this because you have all the other tools accompanying this.

Before you begin using affirmations: why not explore some of these afformations here - Afformations can help you clarify what you are currently thinking, they can help you address any underlying thoughts but also help you to confirm your confidence and strength. You can write your answers down or do this in your head, or perhaps listen and discuss them with your partner...

Affirmations during birth keep you motivated and your mind focused on the goal of birthing your baby in a calm way. They change the way you think and behave. Affirmations keep you positive and flooded with self belief.

There are some rules when it comes to writing affirmations, that’s why this has been done and as part of the course you will receive the full audio track, plus my bonus audio track of affirmations for partners.

Enjoy. x
